Running
16:30 to run 1.34 miles. (According to my GPS anyway, Google Maps recons 1.5 miles)

I am unfit. I used to be able to do that sort of run in 10-11 minutes. Even allowing for age and transition, I should still be able to do it in 11-12 at worst.

Still far, far, FAR better than I have ever been able to do.

It's the lack of a pack throwing off your stride... and the lack of a Sargent screaming in your ear.... :-)

Janice (Who didn't make it through Army ROTC, not due to fitness, but 'cause of age...)

Over here, it's the PTIs (Physical Training Instructors) who yell at you. AT least in the Territorial Army, some are good, very good... others seem to be complete sadists who just want the authority and to get called "Staff" (As in Staff Sergeant, highest SNCO rank) for the duration of the session.
